Bigger, Better and an Extra Day!
Shadow Jumpers and the United Porphyria Association have teamed up (again!) for SUN ESCAPE WEEKEND 2025 happening at Victory Junction in North Carolina. This transformative weekend promises to build off last year’s success by expanding camp to 4 days, 3 nights and adding 60% more families!
We are looking for 32 photo-sensitive kids and their families from across North America to join us May 1-4 in celebrating all things Fun and all things No Sun in a way only we know how.
Applications will be accepted now through December 1st. If selected, applicants will be notified of next steps in the application process during the first week of December.
Your Application and Camp Timeline
September 26th through December 1st - Open application window
December 3rd - Families notified of their acceptance
December 3rd through December 31st - Open window to complete Victory Junction forms
December 10th - Victory Junction application training / Q&A video conference
December - Families notified of their Victory Junction approval on a rolling basis
January 1st through January 30th - Families who are flying are encouraged to book their airfare early
April 1st - Camp programming guide, pre camp survey and family volunteer info sent via email
April 28th - Camp family waiver and camp check list sent via email
May 1st to May 4th - SUN ESCAPE WEEKEND
May 5th - Travel reimbursement form and post camp survey sent via email
May 5th through June 5th - Open period for expense report submissions and reimbursement
